Rajya Sabha mourns former member’s death
RS on Friday mourned the death of its former member Mahabir Prasad. When the House met for the day, Chairman Hamid Ansari mentioned about the passing away of Prasad on February 16 at the age of 73. Prasad represented Bihar in the House from April 1982 to January 1985. A college teacher by profession, Prasad had founded many high schools in Bihar. He became an MLA in 1967 and held various portfolios as Minister in the State Government from 1968.
