The BSF on Friday seized 10 kg of heroin worth Rs50 crore in the international market and fake Indian currency notes with a face value of Rs16 lakh thrown into a field from a goods train coming from Pakistan.

Soon after the goods train entered the Indian Territory through the international border gate here, BSF personnel noticed two bags being thrown out of the train.

The bags contained 10 kg of heroin worth Rs50 crore in the international market and fake Indian currency notes with a face value of Rs16 lakh, BSF DIG Sanjeev Bhanot said.

An FIR has been lodged in Ghrainda police station and the three crew members and a few Indian officials are being questioned in this connection, he said, adding no arrests have been made so far.
