Team Anna to name and shame ‘corrupt’ Cabinet Ministers today
The war between Team Anna and the Government is all set to escalate with the civil society group announcing that it will release “dossiers” pinning around 14 Cabinet Ministers for corruption on Saturday.
Team Anna members Prashant Bhushan, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi would address media in connection with the “documented proof against corrupt Ministers” of the Manmohan Singh Cabinet. They will press for a judicial inquiry.
Sources said that the “documents relating to massive wealth amassment, irregularities and corruption” would target Sharad Pawar, SM Krishna, P Chidambaram, Praful Patel, Kapil Sibal, Kamal Nath, Farooq Abdullah, Ajit Singh, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Sushilkumar Shinde, Vilasrao Deshmukh, MK Azhagiri, Veer Bhadra Singh and GK Vasan.
Team Anna had in March this year, during its one-day token fast in support of Jan Lokpal Bill, declared that they would soon come out with “all proof against 14 corrupt Ministers in the Cabinet” and demand for FIRs against them. It had revealed the names of the Ministers then.
Sources close to Team Anna said that they would present a detailed 80-page note with separate documents against each of the 14 Ministers.
