An Indian Army mountaineering team, including four women officers, on Friday successfully scaled the Mount Everest. “One male officer along with four women officers and three NCOs successfully reached Everest in the morning. One of the Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) reached the summit without using oxygen cylinders,” Army officials said here. The expedition was carried out through South (Nepal) which is known as the traditional route, from which Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay had first climbed.
