Dead rat, pebbles in mid-day meals
Protests by guardians and youth outfits raged at the Higher Secondary School at the Government Medical College campus in Kozhikode, Kerala on Monday after a dead rat, beedi stumps, mud balls and pebbles were found in the rice supplied from Government outlet for mid-day meals for the school’s students. Teachers of the school said that even otherwise the rice supplied for mid-day meal used to be of inferior quality and that they were afraid of using it for children’s food.
