    ‘Beautification of Sonagiri Square will ease traffic’

    Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur inaugurated the paving block laying work in front of Kwality restaurant under the beautification work of Sonagiri Square here on Monday. Kwality Restaurant director Jitendra Sachdeva provided the funds for the work.

    On the occasion, Gaur said besides the beautification of the square the service road and left turn were being organised too. These renovation works would ease the busiest square in BHEL locality for the commuters.

    On the occasion, Additional Commissioner GP Mali, Alderman Sanjay Kunwar, former Corporator Kishan Lal Gwala, Zonal Officer Mohammad Shamim Khan, Ganeshram Naagar, Rambabu Sharma, Jitendra Sachdeva, Daljeet Singh, Virendra Tripathi, Kapil Sharma, Shaitan Singh Lodhi and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) were also present.

    Meanwhile, anti encroachment drive of BMC continued in the State capital on Monday. The anti-encroachment team removed encroachment from plot number 95 and plot number 175 of Reliable colony of Idgah Hills on Monday. A truckload of debris from the sites was seized by the BMC team. Beside, the team also removed encroachment by the roadside retailers from the roads and footpaths between Royal Market and Peergate Square. Around three truckloads of the hand carts, chairs, counters and other articles were seized.

    The BMC team following the order of BMC Commissioner Rajneesh Shrivastava to impose spot fine against those who spread garbage at the public place, accompanied by health department team led by Health Inspector SP Shrivastava imposed fine of Rs400 on Surendra Villas hotel in MP Nagar Zone -1 for spreading garbage on the road.

    Similarly, Rs100 fine was imposed on a hostel in MP Nagar zone 1, Rs400 fine for spreading garbage on roads of Sonagiri locality.

    Besides, Rs200 in a case near Rangmahal locality, Rs600 fine on three butcher shops in Qazi Camp locality was also imposed. Total Rs1900 were collected through nine cases of spot fine.
