    No delay on part of police in stabbing incident, says IGP

    After a quick enquiry as desired by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta in Tuesday’s stabbing incident, Indore Police on Wednesday claimed that there was no delay on their part to get bleeding victims an ambulance.

    “There was no delay on the part of the police as both the injured first went to their home, and then reported to the Rajendra Nagar police with their members of family”, the IGP said.

    “As soon as they reported to the police station, the ambulance was provided and unfortunately Ravi succumbed to his injuries on the way to MY hospital”, she said.



    There might have been some “misinformation” and exaggeration of facts by the media due to miscommunication, she said, adding that call details f some important numbers were awaited in this case to make the probe more transparent.

    Two of the accused, Sanju and Arun, were arrested from Khargon district before dawn today, she said.

    “This is an initial report. The final report will be ready by tomorrow, and it would be forwarded to the home minister,” she said.

    Ravi Dangi, in his early twenties, was allegedly stabbed to death in the Anand Nagar locality in Rajendra Nagar police jurisdiction yesterday, after e along with his friend Ankit Agarwal, took on four miscreants who allegedly passed lewd remarks at the girls and tried outrage their modesty. nkit was admitted to the MY Hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.
