Admin plans to sabotage stir, kill me: Shivanand
Swami Shivanand will lodge a complaint of attempt to murder against Haridwar District Magistrate and senior cops, if he is hospitalised forcibly. The 66-year-old seer said this while talking to media persons on the 22nd day of his fast on Monday.
Meanwhile, a team of senior officials from the administration and police department made another futile attempt to convince Shivanand to allow medicos to examine him. An adamant Shivanand, however, refused to get examined on the fourth consecutive day of his fast on Monday and members of the medical team had to return from the Matra Sadan gate.
While addressing a hurriedly called ‘urgent’ Press conference on Monday, Shivanand said that the administration, police and the medicos have joined hands and are conspiring to kill him like Swami Nigamananda last year. “If I am hospitalised forcibly, I will lodge a complaint of attempt to murder against Haridwar DM and other senior cops,” Shivanand said, adding that he will continue his fast till all his five demands are met.
Shivanand had begun an indefinite fast on August 6 this year. Along with constitution of a new team to investigate the Nigamananda death case again, Shivanand has put forward a total of five demands. A team of ayurvedic and homoeopathic doctors had started examining the seer from the third day of his fast on August 8.
However, taking strong objection at some ‘unnecessary remark’ in his medical report, Shivanand had alleged that the medicos are trying to work on the behest of the administration which wants to sabotage his movement and kill him.
