Bokaro student tops talent search exam
Proving his mettle, Nawal Mridul, a student of DPS Bokaro, topped in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2011-12, while several other Bokaro students also shined in the examination.
Including Nawal, 10 students from Delhi Public School, Bokaro, also succeeded in the examination with their hard labour and strong dedication. Sources said that across Jharkhand, about 23 students were selected for NTSE 11-12 out of which 10 alone hails from DPS Bokaro, school sources said.
The DPS Bokaro students who recorded success are Pitamber Kaushik, Rajat Gupta, Navneet Gerg, Rajan Rajvansh, Aritrika Sengupta, Rahul, Damini, Sanjida Khaton and Mohit Senapati, official said.
The National Talent Search Examination is a national level scholarship programme in India to identify and help students who may have been left behind in the societal structure due to poor economic status of their parents, officials said.
The scheme is open to students of Indian nationality. Only students studying in Class VIII are eligible to appear for the selection process.
