    Delhi Police have arrested six persons for Monday's violence in and around Khoda Colony which occurred on Monday night when police had gone there in a raid. On Monday night, fresh clash broke out in the area with a mob pelting stones but the situation was quickly brought under control by the local police.

    A senior police official said after controlling the situation, a team of Delhi Police, including some senior officers went to Khoda Colony to arrest some persons but when they reached, the local residents starting throwing stones on them. But the situation was quickly brought under control by the local police as police fired eight rounds of teargas and resorted to lathicharge. "We have arrested six persons from the spot and a fresh case has been registered against them in New Ashok Vihar Police Station of East Delhi," police official said.

    Meanwhile, two days after large scale rioting at Mayur Vihar Phase-III in East Delhi in which a man died, the life was back to normal on Tuesday as shops, markets and schools were open. The deployment of police personnel was reduced and only local police



    Police have also registered a case of accident against unknown vehicle on based of statement of Kamruddin, who met an accident while driving in a drunken state. "The police personnel, who were at barricade, were trying to bring him in conscious state but a rumour spread that police killed a man," said a senior police officer.

    Kamruddin too coming out of the police station said that he was 'drunk and was driving his two-wheeler'. "Some vehicle hit my scooter from behind and I fell down after that I was unconscious," said Kamruddin.

    When asked whether some police official hit him from behind, he said, "No. A car hit my bike from behind."
