Chhattisgarh Govt offers jobs to kin of Naxal violence victims
The Chhattisgarh Government is doing its bit to provide relief to families troubled by Naxal violence. Four persons from different families — all victims of Maoist violence — have been recommended for jobs in the Government sector.
Jagdalpur Collector P Dayanand is chairperson of the district rehabilitation committee that has recommended the names. Posting orders are expected soon by Anil Kumar, son of the late Bharat Kumar and resident of Bhejji, Konta; Kantmani, wife of late Shivlal Jetti and resident of Jagargund; Madkam Gajendra, son of Madkam Jogi and resident of Minpalli and Podiyam Budhri, wife of the late SPO Ajay Kumar. Their kin were all killed in different incidents of violence triggered by Maoists.
The Collector also dismissed three applications - of Ganesh Kumar from Kamapedaguda, Soma Sodhi from Nagalgunda and Vetti Raju of Dhondr.
Officials said Sodhi had already been given the job of a peon, while Raju was cousin of the deceased person and not entitled to a job under the Government scheme. In the case of Ganesh Kumar, no case has been registered with any police station that indicates that he was a victim of Naxal violence.
