Declare list of shady leaders: JVM
Amid fresh revelations coming on daily basis in the phenomenal ‘Coalgate’ scam, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) has demanded for making the list of leaders public, who recommended for the allotments to private companies. Party chief and first Chief Minister of State Babulal Marandi has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in this regard.
The letter has come as a result of some media reports depicting Marandi responsible as well for referring for the allocations. In the letter the JVM leader denied the allegations completely. “Leave alone during my tenure as Chief Minister, I have never recommended for allocation of coal block to any private firm or company. There is certainly some political conspiracy behind,” reads the letter, written on Sunday.
The communiqué from the leader thus demanded from the Prime Minister Office for making all the letters public written by various political leaders in the favour of various companies and backing for their claims for coal blocks.
Moreover Party general secretary Rajiv Ranjan Prasad while addressing the media on Monday blamed both Congress and BJP for the entire mess. “The parties are not only looting the natural resources of the country but also siphoning-off the financial resources. Out of five coal blocks given to Abhijeet Group none of them has been made operational thus far. The companies have taken massive loans from the banks those are likely to be jeopardise as well in the future,” said Prasad.
The party has also demanded for scrapping all the mining leases given in the State in the light of previous controversies gathered around former Chief Minister Madhu Koda and the current ones.
