Foot-in-mouth Minister
Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi made a faux pas recently while criticising the Opposition for disrupting Parliament. He told a TV channel that if the BJP doesn’t want it to function, then they should blow up the Parliament. Realising it was a sensational statement, other TV journos also decided to get a similar sound byte from him. But by then Chaturvedi was aware of his blunder. He changed his tune soon thereafter and clarified that since the Opposition was destroying the institution by not allowing it to function, they better use bomb.
