Skilled Azad
The officials of the Health Ministry are heaving a sigh of relief with the passage of two important Bills on AIIMS-like institutes and Bangalore-based National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS) in the Parliament recently despite disruptions in both the Houses. Officials attribute it to the management skills of their Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. In May too, Azad managed to persuade the Opposition to pass an Ordinance for extension of the term of the Board of Governors of MCI for a year.
