SC seeks UP reply for probe into ED officer
The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the UP Government to explain its action to order probe against an ED official probing the 2G spectrum scam case on allegations that were concluded as vague and baseless by the Central Vigilance Commission. The Bench of Justices GS Singhvi and KS Radhakrishnan stayed all proceedings against the officer in the form of a PIL pending in Allahabad High Court and directed the UP Principal Secretary (Home) not to take action against the officer Rajeshwar Singh, currently ED’s Deputy Director or his family.
