Three people from Bangalore, Prakash, Ramsingh and Bansilal were held. The gold was seized from Mamankam on the Salem-Bangalore NH. The arrested people said they were transporting the gold from Bangalore to Kerala. Though they said the gold is for distribution to various jeweleries in Thrissur and Ernakulam district, there was not enough documents to prove it.
