ALAPPUZHA: An old woman was killed after she was knocked down by actress Suja Karthika's car on the national highway at Aarattupuzha. The woman has been identified as Ramuakka (60) of Aarattupuzha.
The incident happened this morning at 6.30 am. She was fatally knocked down by the actress' car when the woman was trying to cross the road near the Sikki Junction. Though she was taken to the hospital by the traffic police, her life could not be saved.
Her body has been kept at the mortuary of the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. The north police have registered a case against car driver Sundaresan.
