Arts festival concludes
Kannur district emerged the overall champions with 108 points at the State Continuing Education arts festival that concluded here on Sunday.
Kasaragod district finished second with 73 points and Malappuram finished third with 70 points.
Kannur came first with 44 points in the beneficiary category, 49 points in Prerak category and 15 points in Tenth Standard equivalency student category, the three categories in the arts festival.
G. Sudhakaran, MLA, inaugurated the valedictory function of the fete.
Literacy Mission executive committee member Palode Ravi, and K.R. Muralidharan, MLA, distributed the prizes at the function.
Filmmaker Fazil delivered the keynote address.
