KOLAR: Three girls were found drowned in a well on Sunday under mysterious circumstances in Mandikal village in Mulbagal taluk of Kolar district.
The girls, who left home on Saturday evening reportedly to pluck flowers, did not return home creating panic among the family members. Efforts to trace the girls went in vain and they were shocked to learn about the death of the girls when the bodies were found in an open well on Sunday morning.
The police gave the names of victims as Kalpana, Divya and Sowmya. All of them were 10th standard students of Chowdeshwari School of Koladevi village.
Superintendent of Police K.P. Puttaswamy and Additional Superintendent of Police K.P. Puttaswamy visited the spot.
