    Tomato Instant Pickle

    Tomato Instant Pickle

    Ingredients:

    250 gm tomato
    1 tbsp methi grains
    5 tbsp mustard seeds
    1 pinch of asafoetida
    5 tsp turmeric
    2 tbsp red chilli powder
    1 tbsp salt
    3 tbsp oil

    Method: Heat a pan and put methi grains and mustard seeds till they are pleasently roasted. Grind them to powder and keep aside.

    Pour oil in the pan and heat it and add the chopped tomatoes. Stir mildly till oil separates from tomato.

    Now put the powder of methi and musturd seeds. Add the turmeric powder and salt.

    Keep stirring mildly for two minutes, put chilli powder and asafoetida.

    Mix properly and switch off the flame. Close the lid of the pan.

    Serve with rice or chapati, idli or dosa.

    thnx for the recipe, but as I said before i don't like tomatoes...anyways thnx a lot aswathy for the gr8 effort!!!!
