    Banana Chips

    BANANA CHIPS


    Ingredients:


    4-5 firm thick raw bananas
    salt to taste
    1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
    oil to deep fry

    Method:

    1. Peel and put bananas in plenty of salted iced water.

    2. Slice bananas with a chip slicer into water, add in turmeric.

    3. Keep for 10 minutes, drain out water fully.

    4. Spread out on a kitchen cloth remove moisture.

    5. Heat oil till smoky.

    6. Add some chips at a time, deep fry till almost crisp.

    7. Make a paste of 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. water.

    8. Add to frying oil, this will make chips crisper.

    9. This process need be repeat after 2-3 rounds only.

    10. Repeat fro remaining chips.

    11. Drain onto absorbent paper, to remove excess oil.

    12. Store in airtight container when completely cooled.

    Making time: 30 minutes
    Makes: 1litre tin full.
    Shelflife: 8-10 days
